PRS SE Swamp Ash Special Charcoal

Swamp Ash Versatility & Sonic Range: The PRS SE Swamp Ash Special Charcoal Electric Guitar!

American manufacturer PRS Guitars expands its renowned SE Series with the distinct PRS SE Swamp Ash Special finished in a refined Charcoal. Blending a solid swamp ash body with a bolt-on maple neck and a highly adaptable pickup configuration, this instrument delivers a fresh aesthetic and a wide sonic footprint.

Swamp Ash Tonewood & Ergonomic Neck At the foundation of this instrument is a solid swamp ash body (Swamp Ash) sculpted with a Shallow Violin top carve. This tonewood produces a tight, focused low-end, bright yet smooth highs, and a responsive twang that excels in hot country, blues, jazz, and rock settings.

The 25" scale 22-fret maple neck (Maple) utilizes a bolt-on construction (Bolt-On) paired with the popular Wide Thin profile for effortless upper-fret access and fast playing. The matching maple fretboard (Maple) features a 10" radius (10") decorated with iconic PRS Birds Inlays.

85/15 “S” Humbuckers & AS-01 Single Coil The active sonic matrix features twin 85/15 “S” humbuckers flanking a middle-position PRS-Designed AS-01 Single Coil. The AS-01 incorporates both alnico magnets and steel components (Alnico and Steel) to add mass to the pickup, generating a full-bodied single-coil output. Paired with a push/pull tone control (Push/Pull Tone Control) and a 5-way pickup selector, players can seamlessly navigate between single-coil chime and humbucking punch.

"I’m so impressed by the variety and range of tones you can get out of this guitar. The humbucker sound is so rich and warm and when you split to single coil the volume stays balanced without losing presence. I love the custom finish which gives a lot of style and finesse to this model, the neck is resonant, and its shape makes it very easy and comfortable to play," notes acclaimed guitarist Giacomo Turra.

Hardware & Expressive Playability Hardware appointments feature the PRS Patented Tremolo for smooth pitch bends and tuning stability, complemented by lightweight PRS Designed Tuners with Wing Buttons that maintain string resonance.
