Philosophy & Craftsmanship
Tom Anderson Guitarworks places exceptional focus on wood selection and matching. Since all Anderson guitars use bolt-on neck construction, the relationship between body wood and neck wood is critical for tone, balance, weight, sustain, and long-term stability.
Tom Anderson guitars are known for:
-
world-class tonewood selection
-
exceptional tuning stability
-
perfectly matched hardware
-
outstanding consistency and reliability
After attending NAMM 2020 and personally meeting Tom Anderson, it became absolutely clear that these guitars are built with genuine passion, precision, and love for the craft, on the same elite level as PRS and Suhr.
This Particular Guitar
This Tom Anderson Angel was built to my personal specifications.
The order was placed in October 2021, and the guitar was completed after an exceptionally long and meticulous build process.
It features a premium deep Quilt Maple top (this special selection option alone added $800 to the build), finished in a stunning Natural Arctic Blue with binding, combined with a natural back and high-gloss finish.
The visual balance is flawless:
-
black hardware perfectly complements the blue finish
-
pickups, fingerboard, and details are carefully matched
-
the guitar looks elegant, modern, and unmistakably boutique
Simply put — a visually striking and professional instrument.
Tone & Performance
The 25.5" traditional scale delivers a tight, focused response with excellent string definition and attack.
The Mahogany body + Quilt Maple top combination provides warmth, depth, and punch, while retaining clarity and articulation.
The HH pickup configuration with Tom Anderson’s proprietary pickups and advanced switching (series / split) covers everything from:
-
rich cleans
-
classic rock crunch
-
modern high-gain tones with authority and control
This guitar is built for players who demand precision, power, and tonal flexibility.
