Blackstar Series One 50 is one of the most versatile amplifiers in the series. It offers more than enough power for live performances, while remaining flexible enough for smaller environments such as home practice or studio work.
Thanks to the DPR (Dynamic Power Reduction) system, the Series One 50 maintains high-quality tube tone even at low volumes, making it suitable for both stage and home use.
The amplifier also features the patented ISF system, which allows the tonal character to shift from a dry, classic American voice to a warmer, more harmonically rich British-style tone.

The patented ISF system works together with a standard 3-band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) and provides expanded tone-shaping capabilities.
It allows smooth transitions between different classic amplifier voicings, offering virtually unlimited tonal variations. You can achieve both British-style crunch and tight American high-gain tones, shaping your own signature sound.
Unlike fixed EQ designs, ISF remains fully interactive and affects the entire frequency spectrum while preserving natural tube amp behavior.

DPR — power control without losing tone
The DPR (Dynamic Power Reduction) system allows the amplifier’s output power to be reduced down to 10% without losing its core tube character.
Tube amplifiers typically sound best when driven hard, producing natural compression and harmonic richness. However, this is not always practical for home or low-volume use.
DPR solves this problem:
