🎸 NAMM 2026: SUHR unveils its 2026 electric guitar lineup

New signature models, short-scale returns, and a passion for vintage tone
At Namm 2026, SUHR Guitars officially revealed its electric guitar lineup for 2026. The announcement includes a debut signature model for Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden, two new signature instruments for Pete Thorn, fresh offerings for Lady Gaga’s lead guitarist Tim Stewart, the return of OSO short-scale models, and a strong presence of T-type designs.

The centerpiece of the reveal is Benji Madden’s new signature guitar. After several years of growing fascination with the brand, Madden made the switch to SUHR, becoming fully immersed in its instruments. As a defining force behind the rise of early-2000s pop-punk, Madden previously partnered with Music Man and released a signature guitar during the band’s commercial peak in 2004.
Speaking to last year, Madden explained that his transition was fueled by a deepening appreciation for vintage guitars, likening SUHR builds to classic cars — simple, soulful, and timeless. As he hinted at the time, his new T-type signature embraces a stripped-down philosophy, centered around dual P-90 pickups, a minimalist control layout, and what appears to be a roasted maple neck that reinforces its old-school character.
A lineup rich with signatures and iconic shapes
Beyond Madden’s model, the 2026 lineup is packed with signature guitars and reinterpretations of the classic Telecaster silhouette. SUHR introduces new instruments for Big Wreck’s Ian Thornley and genre-defying guitarist Andy Wood, each expanding on the Classic T platform in distinct ways.
Tim Stewart — Lady Gaga’s primary touring guitarist — follows a similar path but adds a striking all-black offset design to the range. The model has already been seen in action during the recent Mayhem Ball tour.
Thornley’s 2026 signature features a natural finish and a versatile dual-humbucker configuration, paired with four control knobs that likely govern individual volume and tone for each pickup. Andy Wood’s model, while also equipped with two humbuckers, takes on a noticeably more modern aesthetic and is offered in bold Red and Blue finishes.
S-style signatures for Pete Thorn and James Norbert Ivanyi
Breaking away from the T-type dominance, Pete Thorn — recently recruited for the SatchVai Band — opts for S-style designs, alongside progressive guitarist James Norbert Ivanyi.
According to Thorn, his updated HH signature models feature a refreshed visual identity, incorporating a hardtail SUHR tremolo bridge with whammy bar, gold top-hat control knobs, and his signature soft-V neck profile.
The Ivanyi Antique Modern has been in development for several years and is described by the artist as “a bespoke instrument refined through the fusion of modern performance and enduring philosophy.” Ivanyi adds that it is “a love letter to the retro sound and aesthetic that has shaped my music from the very beginning.”
Specifications include a lightweight alder body, roasted maple neck, ebony fingerboard, aged clay fret inlays as a subtle alternative to mother-of-pearl, vintage-style black bent saddles, a custom antique nitrocellulose relic finish, a signature low-profile tremolo arm, bespoke electronics, and two exclusive finishes: Russet Brown and Antique Yellow.
Expanded non-signature offerings
Beyond artist models, SUHR also expands its non-signature range for 2026. Updated versions of the 24.625-inch OSO short-scale guitars — first introduced at NAMM last year — return following strong interest.
The lineup is rounded out by the Classic T Pine series and, for traditional Strat fans, new Classic S Studio and Classic S Neoteric models that bring modern refinements to a familiar formula.
Moving forward with confidence
Despite the surprise announcement that one of the brand’s most prominent artists, Mateus Asato, is moving on, SUHR shows no signs of slowing down. The 2026 collection reflects a brand pushing forward with confidence, balancing heritage, innovation, and unmistakable identity.
