Back in 1987, Seattle native Mike Soldano built the first Super Lead Overdrive 100 (SLO-100) — and single-handedly redefined what high-gain tone could be.
With its rich harmonics, tight response, and perfect sustain, the SLO-100 became the gold standard for modern guitar amplification.
It powered the tones of legends like Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, and Gary Moore, and to this day remains one of the most respected amps ever created.
Now the legend is back — reborn as the SLO-100 Rack, an all-tube 100W rackmount amplifier that captures the magic of the original while offering modern performance and flexibility.

The Story Behind the Rack
In 1987, Vivian Campbell (Dio, Whitesnake, Def Leppard) asked Mike Soldano to build a compact version of his iconic amp — one that would fit into a touring rack system.
Mike responded with two custom single-channel SLOs designed for the road, and from that idea, the full SLO-100 Rackmount was born.
Only around 200 units were ever produced, making them collector’s treasures.
Now, decades later, the SLO-100R is back — refined, upgraded, and built to the same hand-crafted standards that made Soldano legendary.
