The PRS Jon Jourdan Limited Edition is the result of a collaboration between PRS and guitarist Jon Jourdan, known for his work with Mammoth. Designed with touring and real-world performance in mind, this is a stripped-back PRS built around one simple idea: remove everything you don't need and focus on what matters.
Only 200 instruments will be produced worldwide in 2026. This example features the striking Gunmetal Metallic finish, and every guitar comes with a backplate personally signed by Jon Jourdan.
The concept behind the guitar is deliberately minimalist. There is no neck pickup, no complicated switching system and no unnecessary wiring. Instead, you get an all-mahogany construction, a single powerful PRS \m/ (Metal) pickup in the treble position and one volume control.
Jon specifically requested the volume control to be moved to the traditional tone-control position, keeping it safely out of the way during aggressive stage performance.

Tone
The PRS \m/ Metal pickup was designed specifically for heavier styles, delivering an aggressive yet articulate voice with plenty of power and definition.
The simplified electronics and removal of the neck pickup also contribute to the guitar's distinctive response. As Jon Jourdan explains, removing the neck pickup means its magnets are no longer pulling on the strings, giving the instrument a particularly open and lively feel.
The mahogany body features PRS's distinctive Violin Carve, while the one-piece mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard provide a powerful, articulate foundation.
The Pattern Regular neck profile and 22-fret layout offer a familiar, comfortable playing experience, while green Luminlay side dots provide excellent visibility on dark stages.
A PRS Adjustable Stoptail with individually adjustable saddles provides precise intonation, while PRS Phase III Locking Tuners deliver excellent tuning stability.
This isn't another attempt at making a guitar that does everything.
It's a focused, purpose-built instrument designed to do exactly what its player needs — and nothing more.
