The Mesa/Boogie Rectifier Badlander 50 Combo is one of the most versatile and modern members of the legendary Rectifier family. It is not simply a lower-powered version of the 100-watt Badlander – it has its own personality, offering faster response, tighter low end, a more aggressive attack and an incredibly inspiring playing feel.
From pristine cleans and classic crunch to modern high-gain tones suitable for Alter Bridge, Machine Head, Lamb of God and contemporary metal productions, the Badlander 50 handles virtually any style with ease.
The amplifier feels incredibly alive under your fingers and constantly encourages you to keep playing thanks to its dynamics, articulation and effortless response.
Three Modes on Each Channel:
- Clean – big, open cleans with excellent headroom;
- Crunch – rich classic rock overdrive and British-inspired gain;
- Crush – aggressive modern high-gain with unmistakable Mesa Rectifier DNA.
Both channels are identical, allowing countless combinations and flexible setups.
Multi-Watt™ – Two Amplifiers in One
- 50 Watts (Pentode) – maximum punch, authority and headroom;
- 20 Watts (Triode) – earlier power tube saturation, increased harmonics and a wonderfully rich EL34 midrange character.
Built-In CabClone™ IR – A Recording Dream
The Badlander 50 features Mesa's integrated CabClone IR system with reactive load, allowing you to:
- record silently;
- play without a speaker cabinet;
- connect directly to an audio interface;
- use headphones;
- send balanced XLR directly to FOH;
- use both cabinet and direct outputs simultaneously.
