The Ibanez RG421EX electric guitar has arrived in our store, continuing the legacy of the legendary Ibanez RG series. For decades, RG guitars have been a favorite among rock, metal, and progressive guitarists thanks to their aggressive styling, ultra-fast necks, and powerful modern tone.

The RG421EX embodies the philosophy of the RG line by combining outstanding playability, reliability, and dynamic sound in a sleek and minimalist design.

The guitar features a Meranti body, a tonewood known for delivering a balanced and full sound. Meranti produces warm mids, solid low frequencies, and strong resonance, making the instrument particularly suitable for high-gain tones, heavy riffs, and dynamic rhythm playing.

The neck is crafted from Maple and features the legendary Wizard III profile. This thin, flat, and fast neck design is famous for enabling incredibly smooth and comfortable playing, especially during fast solos and complex technical passages.

The fretboard is made from Jatoba, a wood with a distinctive reddish-brown color that produces a rich midrange and crisp high frequencies. The fretboard is decorated with White Dot inlays, providing clear visual reference points along the neck.

The guitar includes 24 jumbo frets, giving players a full two-octave range and expanding the possibilities for lead playing. The larger frets improve articulation and make string bending easier and smoother.

The F106 bridge enhances sustain and provides solid string stability. Its design allows independent and precise string height adjustments, making it easy to customize the guitar’s setup for individual playing styles.

For powerful tone, the guitar is equipped with Ibanez Quantum H-H pickups. These humbuckers deliver a fast low-end response and accurately capture rapid passages with precise note definition, while maintaining a full-bodied mid-to-high frequency range.

Another important feature is the Mono-unit output jack, a durable single-piece output jack design that prevents unwanted movement or loosening of the jack. This construction improves reliability and ensures long-term playing enjoyment with minimal maintenance.

The Ibanez RG421EX comes equipped with D’Addario EXL110 strings in .010–.046 gauge and standard E-A-D-G-B-E factory tuning, allowing the guitar to be ready for performance right out of the box.
