The collaboration between Paul Stanley and Ibanez dates back to the late 1970s. The body of the guitar is crafted from Poplar, a tonewood known for its balanced and full sound. Poplar delivers rich mids, smooth lows, and clear highs, making it an excellent choice for a wide range of styles from classic rock to modern hard rock.
The neck is made from Maple, one of the most trusted materials in electric guitar construction. Maple necks are known for their strength, stability, and bright tonal character.
The Purpleheart fretboard is accented with elegant White Block inlays, giving the instrument a distinctive look while contributing to its rich tonal character.
The guitar features 22 medium-sized frets, providing comfortable playability, smooth bends, and clear articulation whether playing rhythm or lead parts.
A key part of the Ibanez PS60 sound comes from the Ibanez Infinity R H-H pickups. These humbuckers deliver a tight, accurate sound with excellent dynamics. Even with heavy distortion settings, they maintain tonal clarity and definition.
