The legendary Ibanez RG550 in Road Flare Red (RF) has arrived in our store — a true icon of the high-performance electric guitar world. This model represents the classic spirit of the Ibanez RG series, famous for its lightning-fast neck, aggressive design, and powerful tone.

The RG series originated from the famous Ibanez JEM platform and quickly became one of the most recognizable guitar designs since the late 1980s. The Ibanez RG550 preserves that classic formula: a fast neck, ergonomic body design, powerful electronics, and a legendary tremolo system.

The body is made from Basswood, a tonewood widely used in performance guitars due to its balanced tonal response. Basswood delivers smooth low frequencies, rich midrange presence, and excellent dynamics, making the guitar versatile for both heavy distortion and clean tones.

The Super Wizard neck is one of Ibanez’s most famous designs. Constructed from five pieces of Maple and Walnut, it provides exceptional stability and strength while enhancing resonance.

With a thickness of only 17 mm at the first fret and 19 mm at the twelfth fret, this neck is incredibly thin and fast, making it ideal for technical playing, rapid solos, and advanced lead techniques.

The fretboard is made from Maple, which produces bright highs and strong upper-mid frequencies. The fretboard features Black Dot inlays, offering clear visual reference points across the neck.

The guitar is equipped with 24 jumbo frets, providing a full two-octave range and excellent playability for modern lead guitar techniques. Jumbo frets allow smooth bending and precise articulation even during fast passages.

One of the most important components of the Ibanez RG550 is the legendary Edge Tremolo Bridge. This bridge is widely considered one of the finest tremolo systems ever produced, offering exceptional tuning stability, precise intonation adjustment, and superior playing comfort.

A locking nut ensures tuning stability even during aggressive tremolo use.

The pickup configuration is H-S-H, giving the guitar remarkable tonal versatility.

The neck position features a V7 (H) ceramic pickup, the middle position uses an S1 (S) Alnico pickup, and the bridge position is equipped with a V8 (H) Alnico pickup.

This V7 / S1 / V8 pickup combination allows players to dial in a wide variety of tones — from crystal-clear clean sounds to aggressive, high-gain distortion.

The guitar comes equipped with D’Addario® EXL120 strings in .009 – .042 gauge and standard E-A-D-G-B-E factory tuning, making it ready to play right out of the box.

High-quality Gotoh® machine heads provide excellent tuning precision, smooth operation, and long-term reliability.

The striking Road Flare Red high-gloss finish gives the guitar an unmistakable stage presence and highlights its aggressive character.
