The Hughes & Kettner TM 36 TubeMeister 1x12 Combo is a three-channel all-tube amplifier designed for players who need maximum flexibility, professional stage performance, and studio-ready recording capabilities in a single unit. It combines classic tube tone with modern control features such as MIDI programmability and switchable power scaling.
One of its key innovations is the variable power system, offering 36W, 18W, 5W, 1W, and Speaker Off modes. These power levels can also be assigned via MIDI, allowing players to switch output levels per channel during live performance for maximum tonal control.
This system provides more than a hundred possible combinations of channel and power settings, making the TM 36 extremely adaptable to any environment — from bedroom practice to large stage setups.
The 1W mode makes it ideal for silent home use, while Speaker Off mode enables direct recording using the built-in RED BOX and balanced XLR output with cabinet simulation.
The amplifier features three channels — Clean, Crunch, and Lead — each delivering a distinct expression of tube-driven dynamics, from sparkling cleans to saturated high-gain lead tones with long sustain.
Additional professional features include TSC (Tube Safety Control), a switchable FX loop, and onboard reverb, making this combo a complete stage and studio solution.
