Select woods
With a body crafted from premium, hand-picked alder for light weight, you'll enjoy a nimble and agile performance that's unlike any other. The featherweight material also boasts a bright and resonant tone to lift the overall character of your notes, and is accompanied by a similarly premium AAA rated cut of maple for the guitar's neck. This has been selected for its gorgeous Birdseye pattern swirls and gives the guitar a bright and articulate tone with great sustain. The fretboard is also made of AAA rated maple, offering responsive and dynamic playability that's smooth and comfortable under your fingers.
Hand-wound pickups
The Fat '50s single-coil pickups are hand-wound by the skilled artisans at Fender's Custom Shop, using the same techniques and materials as they did in the 1950s. They deliver a clear and articulate sound that's full of rich harmonics and dynamic sensitivity, perfect for vintage-inspired rock, blues, and jazz playing styles.
