The Blackstar HT series has always been a benchmark for real valve tone, and now that the new HT-5R MK III is in our hands, it's clear that the engineers have taken everything to an entirely new level. This incredible 5-watt combo is the perfect home, studio and small-stage amplifier — combining real valve feel, modern recording power and exceptionally flexible tone shaping.

Big Valve Tone, Small Format

Valve amps sound best when driven hard, but that volume simply doesn’t work at home. The HT-5R MK III solves this with its unique push-pull power stage based on a 12BH7 valve, delivering the feel of a 100-watt stack at living-room-friendly levels.
The ECC83 preamp valve adds real tube dynamics, response and organic compression.

Perfect for Playing & Recording

With USB-C direct recording, the HT-5R MK III sends two channels straight into your DAW — no interface needed.
And thanks to its built-in load protection, the amp can be used with no speaker attached, ideal for silent late-night sessions or pro-level recording.

Four Unique Voices — Eight Distinctive Tones

Two channels — Clean and Overdrive — each with two Voices.
Each Voice switch performs real circuit changes: EQ shaping, tone-stack position, gain structure and power-amp damping.
This gives the HT-5R MK III an enormous tonal range:

• Clean: from bright American sparkle to warm British vintage

• Overdrive: from hot-rodded classic to modern tight aggression

All channels and Voices are footswitchable via FS-22 or FS-16.

CabRig™ — next-generation speaker simulation

The built-in CabRig™ IR-based speaker simulator delivers hundreds of cabinet, mic and room combinations.
You can save three presets internally and output via USB-C, balanced XLR or standard Jack — premium tones into your headphones, monitors and mixes.
