1996 Fender American Standard Jazz V Bass Candy Apple Red 50th Anniversary 5 String
Great bass with history... purchased from original owner from 1996. Few marks here and there but nothing major. Comes with original hardcase, keys, docs. EMG J5X installed, but i have original pickups - of you want both sets - add 200 $ or choose your set.
First owner had a setup and the EMG J5X pickup set installed by Jay Kalanda in Nashville (formerly of Gibson Custom Shop) in January 2020. The EMG J5X pickups are amazing and incredibly versatile. This set alone has to be special ordered and is 190 $. An artist friend made the custom wooden pickguard that is on the guitar as a gift. Original owner have had to order additional large Fender knobs as the EMG Pots will only work with the larger knobs. Original hardshell case included. It is a 26 years old bass, so there are definitely some fine scratches.There is a darkened area at the top of the headstock. I honestly have no idea why its dark, its been that way for years and nothing specifically has ever happened to it. Aging of wood maybe, who knows?
