1979 Dean Z Standard Red Burst USA Zelinsky Ebony Fretboard COLLECTORS
Guitar - collector's dream.
Was made by Dean Zelinsky himself back in 1979 - one of the first Dean ever made.
Guitar was bought long time ago from collector who was second owner since '79. Here's what he wrote:
«I always wanted a 1979 Dean flame Z … I feel that 1979 was the year Dean started really making a great guitar! I have a relationship with the guitar manufacturer Dean and I had a couple of guys that work there keep an eye out for a 79 that was unique. I got an email many years ago from Dean who tracked one down for me. It was up in Chicago. I contacted the owner and struck a deal. He sent it to me and I had it checked out at dean only to find that it was very unique given it was refitted with an ebony fretboard! They never had seen another one like it. So it’s very cool and unique given the work was done by dean zelinsky himself!».
Body and neck is mahogany. Sounds perfect! Unfortunatelly original pots fall to pieces because of age and have been changed onto good ones at professional luthier. As i can see other parts is all original. This is very cool guitar, and great condition as for 40 years +.
