PRS has officially released the new SE Hollowbody II Piezo — and we’re excited to announce that this model is already available in our store. This instrument stands out as a rare hybrid that delivers both expressive acoustic-style tones and classic electric richness, all while maintaining the refined playability PRS is known for.
Two sonic universes, one guitar
Built with a maple top and back, mahogany sides, and the familiar hollowbody architecture, the SE Hollowbody II Piezo offers shimmering highs, responsive mids, and a naturally resonant voice. Paired with the PRS 58/15 LT “S” pickups, the guitar produces a powerful yet articulate sound that feels bigger than the instrument itself.
The LR Baggs/PRS Piezo — your acoustic engine onboard
This is not “acoustic imitation” — it’s a full, convincing acoustic tone available at any time.
The guitar includes:
- separate volume knobs for piezo and magnetic pickups,
- two output jacks — Mix/Piezo and Magnetics.
This gives players exceptional flexibility:
- Use the Mix/Piezo output and blend acoustic and electric tones right on the guitar.
- Or split the signal: send electric pickups to a guitar amp, and route the piezo to an acoustic amp or directly to a soundboard.
When using the Magnetics output alone, the piezo system is fully bypassed — meaning the guitar still works even if the piezo battery is empty. A great safety net for live performers.
