Despite its extremely powerful, tight, and uncompromising tube tone, along with a bold and aggressive visual design, the Blackstar HT METAL series is built upon the globally recognized HT-1, HT-5, and Venue platforms. This combination delivers exactly what modern guitarists need for heavy music.
The lineup includes compact 1-watt and 5-watt combo amps and heads, as well as 1x12" and 4x8" cabinets equipped with Blackstar Blackbird speakers. In addition, the series offers full-scale professional solutions such as a 60-watt 6L6-powered combo with 2x12" speakers and a powerful 100-watt amplifier paired with a 4x12" cabinet.
This versatility allows the HT METAL series to deliver the full potential of high-powered modern tube tone from Blackstar in any situation — whether you're practicing at home or performing on major stages.

Blackstar HT METAL 100H — 100 watts of pure tube-driven metal power
The Blackstar HT METAL 100H is a high-performance tube amplifier designed specifically for metal players. It delivers 100 watts of tube power, massive gain, crushing tone, and a full set of professional features, all wrapped in a sleek black metal design.
Controls and flexibility
The HT METAL 100H features three fully independent channels — Clean, Overdrive 1, and Overdrive 2 — all switchable via footcontroller. Shared controls include Volume, Presence, Resonance, and Reverb.
The OD1 and OD2 channels share a common EQ section (Treble, Middle, Bass) along with the ISF control — a patented Blackstar feature that expands tonal shaping capabilities and allows near-infinite sound customization.
Each overdrive channel includes independent Volume and Gain controls, making it easy to dial in different distortion levels or boost your signal for solos.
The Clean channel has its own Treble, Bass, and Volume controls, plus a Voice switch that lets you choose between “British Class-A” and “Dynamic US” tones.
A 4-button footcontroller is included, allowing full control over channels and reverb activation.
Tube configuration
The amplifier delivers an impressive 100-watt high-gain output, ideal for modern metal applications.
It uses ECC83 and ECC82 tubes in the preamp section, along with four 6L6 tubes in the power stage, providing a powerful, tight, and dynamic response.
Additional features
The HT METAL 100H includes a digital reverb with selectable Dark and Bright modes.
It also features an effects loop with switchable level (+4 dBV / -10 dBV) and an emulated output with 1x12” and 4x12” cabinet simulations, perfect for recording or direct output.
