For every guitarist, there is a moment that feels like a lifelong dream becoming reality. That unforgettable experience recently became a reality for Christian Andreu, guitarist of Gojira, when Kirk Hammett of Metallica took the stage in London with Andreu's signature Jackson guitar.

During Metallica's performance of Seek & Destroy, Hammett chose to play Christian Andreu's signature model. Earlier that evening, Gojira had opened the show alongside Knocked Loose, making the occasion even more meaningful for the French guitarist.
The guitar collection of Kirk Hammett is already regarded as one of the most iconic in rock and metal. Among its highlights are Greeny—the legendary 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard once owned by Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac—his famous 1979 Flying V, the instantly recognizable ESP Ouija, and numerous other instruments that have become inseparable from his career.
Now, another remarkable guitar has joined that prestigious collection: the latest Jackson Pro Plus Series signature model designed for Christian Andreu.
Officially introduced in March, the guitar immediately attracted attention thanks to one groundbreaking feature. It became the very first Jackson Rhoads model equipped with an EverTune bridge. This patented system is highly respected among metal guitarists because it delivers exceptional tuning stability, even during the most demanding performances.
What makes the story even more remarkable is how it has come full circle.
Christian Andreu has often spoken about falling in love with the Jackson Rhoads shape when he was just fifteen years old. At that age, he watched Kirk Hammett performing with Metallica, wielding the instantly recognizable two-pointed Rhoads design. That single performance left such a lasting impression that it helped shape his own musical journey and ultimately inspired his choice of instruments.
Years later, the roles were reversed.
This time, it was Kirk Hammett standing on stage with Christian Andreu's own signature guitar, performing in front of thousands of fans during one of Metallica's London concerts.
The performances at London Stadium marked the conclusion of the band's massive M72 World Tour. Metallica played two consecutive shows in the British capital, with completely different setlists each night. Supporting the legendary metal icons were Gojira and Knocked Loose.
Sunday's concert featured classics including For Whom the Bell Tolls, Ride the Lightning, Blackened, and Enter Sandman. Friday's performance included Creeping Death, Fade to Black, Master of Puppets, and Seek & Destroy—the song during which Hammett showcased Christian Andreu's signature Jackson.
Following the performance, Christian Andreu shared his excitement in a heartfelt post on Instagram.

"London, you truly fought fire with fire! Thank you, Kirk, for playing Seek with my custom Jackson Rhoads. Dreams really do come true."
It was also a memorable evening for Gojira. The French metal band delivered an eleven-song set featuring tracks such as Stranded, Silvera, Amazonia, and Mea culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)—the song that earned the group a Grammy Award following its unforgettable performance during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
For Christian Andreu, the evening represented far more than another concert. It was the realization of a dream that had begun many years earlier, when a teenage fan watched Kirk Hammett perform with a Jackson Rhoads. Years later, that same guitar hero stepped onto the stage carrying an instrument bearing Andreu's own signature—a powerful reminder that passion, dedication, and perseverance can sometimes turn childhood dreams into reality.
