🎸 Ibanez at Namm 2026: Nili Brosh’s first signature guitar leads a powerful new artist lineup

At Namm 2026, tradition was upheld once again as Ibanez unveiled an impressive new collection of signature electric guitars. Among the many highlights, one release stood out in particular: the long-anticipated first-ever artist model from Nili Brosh.

Ahead of the show, much of the speculation surrounding Ibanez centered on the Alpha series, which draws inspiration from the guitar designs of Tosin Abasi. However, once attendees arrived on the show floor, attention quickly shifted to the brand’s iconic “Wall of Fame” display. There, visitors were treated to new signature instruments from Nili Brosh, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Nita Strauss, Kiko Loureiro, and several other renowned players.

Striving to remain objective, it’s still hard to deny that Nili Brosh’s guitar was the standout of the entire lineup. The deep purple finish, bold yellow EMG pickups, and striking exclamation-point inlays make an immediate visual impact. From headstock to bridge, the instrument delivers a distinctive and confident take on the classic RG design.

This release has been years in the making. Back in 2022, Nili Brosh, a long-time Ibanez artist, revealed that she had collaborated on a custom shop model that later appeared on stage alongside Danny Elfman. Since then, that guitar has become one of her primary touring instruments, with fans repeatedly calling for an official signature version.

The 2026 production model differs slightly from the original custom build. It features a deeper overall finish and purple inlays rather than yellow, yet it retains the unmistakable Brosh character. As such, it effectively leads the charge for the wider Ibanez signature lineup for 2026.

“You don’t really see that many RG signature models these days,” Nili Brosh told Guitar World. “I’ve always been an RG player, so that just made sense for me.
I wasn’t trying to reinvent anything. It’s a versatile workhorse that I’ve been using for everything I do.”

Beyond Brosh’s model, the 2026 artist lineup also includes:

  • an officially branded racing-stripe signature guitar for JB Brubaker

  • refreshed signature designs for Nita Strauss, Joe Satriani, and Kiko Loureiro

  • a visually striking Gold Flame PIA created for Steve Vai

Visual flair appears to be a major focus for Ibanez this year. Steve Vai’s Gold Flame PIA features custom pickup covers and intricate inlays, while Joe Satriani’s Cherry Sunburst model introduces a vintage-inspired aesthetic to his typically futuristic six-string designs.

Meanwhile, Kiko Loureiro’s KIKO300RRT in Ruby Red Sunburst Flat is equally eye-catching, as is Nita Strauss’ aptly named Torch Red JIVA.

Also worth mentioning is a limited-edition RG model commemorating 250 years of the United States. Finished in a bold artistic splash of blue, red, and white, it has already become one of the most talked-about guitars of the show.

At the time of Namm 2026, none of these models had yet appeared on the official Ibanez website. However, the Guitar World team had the opportunity to get hands-on with every instrument while exploring the Anaheim Convention Center.

It’s only a matter of time before these guitars go live online. Until then, fans and players alike should keep a close eye on Ibanez for the full release details.
