We are releasing a unique series 2018 PRS McCarty Singlecut SC594 Wood Library Artist Package Special Limited Run LadkorGuitars #1

Automatic translation. Russian original

We are happy to announce that we have launched the production of guitars unique in their specifications and appearance, the edition 2018 PRS McCarty Singlecut SC594 Wood Library Artist Package Special Limited Run LadkorGuitars #1

The entire model line PRS Core Models is graded by price primarily based on quality, the beauty of the top, and further by an expanded choice of specifications and colors: non-10 top, 10 top, artist package, wood library and private stock in ascending order of price. In a non-10 top you have a limited number of colors and standard specifications for the chosen model; a 10 top will feature a more beautiful Flame Maple 10 Top with even maple lines, the guitar looks expensive and also costs 10-15% more depending on the model. In the Artist Package there is a much larger selection of unique colors; you can order, for example, an ebony fretboard, mixed hardware, and sometimes there is even a choice of pickups (e.g., 57/08, 59/09, 58/15, 85/15 sets, etc.). You can also choose a flame maple neck or a full rosewood neck, and of course an even more beautiful top than the 10 top - the Artist Grade Top, which are kept in a separate place at the factory, though the top will still be selected by the master on-site and only Flame. The price of the Artist Package is another 10-20% higher than a 10 top, depending on the options you choose (for the rosewood neck option, for example, you have to shell out almost 500 dollars extra).

I did not just place Wood Library higher than Artist Package in the grading above. Dealers, i.e., us, cannot order one or two Wood Library guitars; an edition must consist of at least 10 guitars of one model, with 2 wood specifications in a maximum of 5 colors, while there are very tasty conditions. Firstly, the spectrum of unique colors available mostly in Private Stock expands a little more (but of course not all of them), and secondly, the choice of wood expands. You can choose wood that was previously available only in PRS Private Stock - such wood as lightweight Ribbon Mahogany, ash, or korina for the body (instead of the usual mahogany); korina, rosewood, maple for the neck (again, not just mahogany); Cocobolo, Ziracote, Ebony, and several other types of exotic wood for the fretboards, besides maple and rosewood; even Brazilian rosewood is available when it is in stock at the factory. One of the most important facts in my opinion is the ability to order an Artist Grade Quilt Top - which is now only available in Wood Library and even that is rare; nowadays a good quilt can more often be ordered only in Private Stock, and this type of top is very rare these days. You can also install smoked hardware, mix pickups (e.g., a closed 58/15 in the neck and an open 85/15 in the bridge), order a custom 24 edition with a body thickness like a McCarty, or add an F-Hole to a model, thus making it a Semi-Hollow; you can also make a semi-hollow without an F-Hole, order specific birds, and even get a satin (matte) finish, as well as an Artist Hardcase. You must agree - the choice is very wide, only Private Stock is cooler, where individual masters will fulfill your every whim, but prices start from 10k. But we are talking about PRS WL right now and I believe that it is the same as PS, but you pay almost 2 times less. From stock, they of course cost 6+ and up to 8 thousand, depending on the model and options, but with a pre-order you can get a price in the range of 5-6k and also pay in installments for almost a year, while the guitar is being made, which is very convenient and profitable for both the buyer and the dealer - we get orders, provide the right prices, the client effectively gets a private stock at a great price and does not need to pay the full amount at once.

An undisputed bestseller for PRS has become the McCarty 594 series, especially the Singlecut McCarty 594 - this is a challenge to expensive and nowadays poor-sounding Gibsons, at a much more interesting price than all those R9, R8, R7.... including historics and the rest. Many guitarists I know have put away or sold their LPs and ordered a 594 singlecut, even in the CIS, and the same thing happened on a larger scale abroad; in the USA, the famous guitarist and vocalist Mayers even called the SC594 the best guitar of all time, after playing expensive LPs and Strats for a long time. I even ordered a PRS Private Stock SC594 for myself with magical vintage PAF-style 58/15 LT pickups, decided it was the best replacement for my LP and did not regret it. Therefore, I decided to make my own edition of the PRS Wood Library Singlecut McCarty 594 model with unique wood that I chose myself while at the PRS factory. YES! This is another gorgeous option - you can choose the wood YOURSELF, with clients, even just by photo.

After long studies, we selected the wood and specifications, and I am presenting them for public viewing.

Believe me, I chose these specs and wood for almost half a year before placing the order, so it is more than worth it!

All the photos in the news were taken by us at the PRS Factory in Maryland during our visit. We were very happy to personally meet all the company staff, Paul Reed Smith, Tim, Paul Miles, Tina, the masters, and the young guys who show their work with such inspiration and love and are proud of it. Every guitar is truly made with love, much of the work is done by hand... but I will better tell you about that in another article soon =) and in the meantime, I am waiting for reserves on the already ordered series 2018 PRS McCarty Singlecut SC594 Wood Library Artist Package Special Limited Run LadkorGuitars #1

With love for PRS guitars and my work, Ladkor
